First "Show"
05.29.04 (9:31 pm)   [edit]
Okay. So. Today was Memorial Day, and every year my neighborhood gets together and has a block party.
This year, my friend Beverley and I decided that we were going to sing (and I would play guitar) for everyone there...we were only playing covers of songs that we liked ("Basket Case" by Green Day, "So Happy Together" by I don't remember who, "3 Small Words"-a song from the Josie and the Pussycats movie, and "Perfect" by Simple Plan). It was going to be great (and our first "show"), but some shit went down.....

We started off playing in front of a bunch of adults and a few of the kids (the rest of them were out playing basketball and kickball and shit), and that went pretty well.
After the first song, a lot more of the kids showed up, and my next door neighbor Patrick (he's about 11 years old) started yelling and we had to shut him up until we could play the rest of the song, and then my neighbor from around the corner, Nikki (a little boy who's about 9 or 10) kept bothering me and trying to play my guitar while we were performing....this went on the entire rest of the time we were playing....
Then after the 3rd song, a lady who is the grandmother of Nethanial (another little neigbor kid....he's about 7 or 8 and his grandmother is in her late 30s or early 40s) kept bugging the shit out of me and Beverley.
Here are just a few of the things she said to us:

"Play something the kids know"
"Play something the kids can sing to"
"Play 'Kumbya'"
"Play 'Mary Had A Little Lamb'"
"Play 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'"

LADY: "Nethanial's really good-you should let him have a turn"
ME: "What can he do?"
LADY: "What do you want him to do?"

eventually, she even made Beverley give Nethanial the microphone so that he could sing "Mary Had A Little Lamb"...she kept saying how Nethanial was the "Perfect child" and the "best behaved"...she might as well have said "Nethanial is God"...it was SO annoying.
and then, when Beverley and I were going to pack up all our stuff because we were tired, and the kids started to get annoyed with her suggestions, they said that they wanted to play manhunt (if you don't know, manhunt is just like hide-and-go-seek with two huge teams of kids played in the dark), and she got mad that Nethanial wasn't getting paid any attention (because none of the kids like him-he's a brat, but he doesn't show that around his grandmother), and so she said that if the kids couldn't sing a song together than they obviously weren't responsible enough to play manhunt. When she said that, Beverley brought up that she had let Nethanial sing "Mary Had A Little Lamb", but the lady kept on being a dumb bitch and saying that we couldn't pack our stuff up.
Then I looked straight at her and yelled "Look-we're tired, we're hot, we're sweaty, and we're going to pack our stuff up. IS THAT OKAY WITH YOU?" and she pretty much backed off.
This lady even had the nerve to convince all of the parents NOT to let any of us play manhunt because it was "snake mating season" (our neighborhood is surrounded by woods).
So Beverley and I brought our stuff inside, and when we came back out, Nethanial and his grandmother were gone, and when we asked the kids where they went, they said that she went home and that she had said "You kids aren't good enough for Nethanial. You aren't allowed to come over to our house anymore." (Nethanial is living with his grandparents at the moment).
We asked every kid there, and they all agreed that the lady is a complete and total bitch.
When we were performing (in between songs), Patrick even kept asking her how many beers she had had!
Later on, we got her back for the manhunt thing by running around her house and pretending to play manhunt by yelling "this kid is on my team!" and "Manhunt is awesome!"

Later, I asked my brother, who had watched Bev and me, and he said that we were pretty good, despite all the annoyances.
Drew and Austin (Bev and my friends-Drew is 15 and Austin is 13) were even headbanging to a few of our songs, so that was fun.

At the end of the night, after Beverley had gone inside, I went and played hide and seek (not manhunt, for those of you playing along at home....there were no teams) with the other kids, and when I was leaving, a very funny conversation took place, involving me and a few neighborhood kids yelling at each other in the dark:

ME: "bye you guys!"
DREW AND A FEW OTHER KIDS: "where are you going?"
ME: "inside"
DREW: "why?"
ME: "to take a shower"
DREW: "can I help??"

I just shook my head and walked inside...Drew can be very amusing sometimes, lol

So I had a good night, even if there was a megabitch that tried to ruin it....lol

Holy Hell; My Life: The Roller Coaster
05.28.04 (8:55 pm)   [edit]
Okay. In my last blog, I talked about how my last day of school was the worst day ever because the guy I am completely in love with kissed my friend.
WELL, two days ago (May 26) I got a phone call...let me start from the beginning.

My friend had told me that the guy we both like kissed her ("on the lips!" she said) and so I was extremely sad, seeing as this guy KNOWS that I like him and he's been the sweetest person in the world to me. Later that day, I saw this friend again and asked her for more details (I told her that I was happy for her, but that I was still pretty sad...which is true) and she said he said (don't you hate it when people say shit like that? lol, anyway) that he wanted to go out with her.
Later on, (pay attention-this is important!) after the last bell of the day rang, I ran into this guy's sister (who has been my friend since before I knew this guy), and in the last minutes before I went home on this last day of school (May 25) I told her I was depressed, and I told her why, and she kept saying "you shouldn't be depressed over MY brother!"
Then, the next day, I got a phone call...from him.

APPARENTLY, his sister had told him about my being sad about this entire thing, and he found out my phone number and called me (from a payphone...don't ask me why...). He told me that the kiss thing was all a big rumor...he said that he had told my friend goodbye (because they are friends) and gave her "a peck on the lips", but he said that he "kisses his mother with more emotion than that". I asked him about what she had said about him wanting to go out with her, and he said that that wasn't true. He said that he had called me because he knew that I was sad about hearing that, and he didn't want me to be sad, and he said "you know I care about you, right?"...so that was great, haha.
And then, before he hung up, he said "I hope to see you soon, beautiful"....

Ah, he's the sweetest guy in the world...he didn't ask me out or anything, but that phone call was probably the sweetest thing a guy has ever done for me...

NOW do you people see why I like him?

lol

As a side note, right now I have Ludwig Van Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" stuck in my head...I learned how to play a large part of it today on the piano....for some reason, I love that song....odd.

The Worst Day...Ever.
05.25.04 (11:07 am)   [edit]
Well, today is the last day of school (I'm in my typing class right now)...and it sucks.

The guy I've been talking about in my recent blogs?
Yeah...he kissed one of my best friends today. I'm happy for her, but I'm crying inside...the only reason why I'm not going to physically cry is because I have a quote stuck in my head ("No guy is worth your tears, and the one who is will never make you cry")

I'm not going to see my friends for fuckin two and a half months.

My friend Vanessa and I were supposed to switch clothing styles for the day (I got dressed up all preppy and she was supposed to be punk-goth ish)...she never showed up (thankfully, I had other clothes to change into just in case this happened).

So yeah, today just sucks...
And to think, all those blogs I wasted on the guy...damn, life sucks right about now...he is still my friend, though...I still like him and all, so the positive side that I'm thinking of is that I'll still be able to see and talk to him...

Oi...I just want to go home.

My Summer Goals
05.24.04 (4:39 pm)   [edit]
BWAH!
I have decided that I'm not going to sit around on my lazy ass every day this summer (and although that's nice-it gets very boring after awhile). SO, I'm making a list of my summer goals:

1. Learn how to skateboard (I can, a little bit...my younger brother's supposed to teach me how).

2. Call every person who gave me their phone number in my yearbook (I always tell them I will, but I never wind up actually doing it).

3. Spend less time on the internet and more time outside.

4. Read the following books-
Harry Potter III, IV, and V (I like the Harry Potter series, but I finished it too fast, so I forgot what happened in the third and fourth books, so I have to re-read them before I can read the fifth).
Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (I read this about a year before the movie came out, and I'm re-reading it because I liked it so much)
The Scarlet Letter (by Nethanial Hawthorne...I went to the House of the Seven Gables in Massachusetts and I found him interesting, but I've never read anything of his)
The Princess Diaries V (VERY good series-although the movie was cute, it does NOT follow the book at all...in the book, her father is alive, but he can't have any more children because he had testicular cancer...Disney should NOT have been the one to make that movie)

5. Get a summer job at the public library (I can read those books AND make money! haha! but I really wanna do this because the library is so close, and it gets me out of chores for my mom  ).

6. Finish learning everything in my guitar book (I take guitar lessons).

The end! Ha-I hope I can do all that!! I think I can!

Stereotypes Are BAD.
05.22.04 (7:17 pm)   [edit]

TEN THINGS YOU CAN DO TO STOP HATE:
1. SPEAK OUT against what you feel is wrong. Somebody is listening.
2. CHOOSE your battles wisely. Don't put yourself in danger.
3. ASK questions. Don't fear what you don't know.
4. CHALLENGE your attitudes, stereotypes and expectations.
5. STRETCH your comfort zone. Get to know people who are different than you.
6. LISTEN.
7. IDENTIFY who you are and what you believe in.
8. FIND things in common with others instead of concentrating on your differences.
9. REALIZE that the words you say affect others. Think before you speak.
10. PASS ON this message to someone else.

And yes, if you're wondering, I did make the animation.

Progress
05.22.04 (7:14 pm)   [edit]
Made some progress yesterday...my friend Angel is the sister of the guy I like (I didn't know that before I started liking him-she's one of my good friends, but I don't really see her outside of school), and a couple of weeks ago she asked me if I liked him, and I lied and said "no"...so yesterday I was brave.

She still hadn't signed my yearbook, so I sat down next to her at lunch and had her sign it, and then I started talking to her...here's pretty much how it went:

Me:"I have to tell you the truth....I lied to you about something..."
Angel:"About what?"
Me:"About something you asked me..."
Angel:"What did I ask you?"
Me:"...Something..."
Angel:"Oh, I think I know...about you liking my brother?"
Me:"Yeah."
Angel:"So you DO like him?"
Me:"Yeah...a lot."

and here's the part I completely didn't expect:

Angel:"Well, I'm glad you told me and were honest with me. That means you're a good friend, and that means a lot to me."

!! It was amazing! lol
And very relieving....haha

So yeah, that went well....then we just talked about other things, and it was great!

Only 2 more days of school left (Monday and Tuesday)
I'm not gonna be able to see the guy I like for 2 months!!

Eh, that's okay I guess....I'll live (SOMEHOW!! lol)

'!!!' Picture! Yay!
05.13.04 (6:47 pm)   [edit]
----had a picture of me and the guy I like here, but I took it down for privacy reasons...the rest of this blog pretty much describes it, heh----

This is me and the guy that I like!!!! YAAAY!!!! (see the blogs I've written titled '!!!')
You can't see it in the picture, but he has his arm around my waist.....!
Yeah, I had a good lunch today, lol.

***By the way, the reason my smile looks so funny is because I was about to laugh <***>
OOO!!! I also forgot to mention-he's 16 years old...lots of people who have seen this picture (and lots of my friends) say that he looks a lot older than he is, so yeah....just so you all know!

FOOD FIGHT!!!
05.13.04 (12:31 pm)   [edit]
Yesterday, my teacher was reading a part of Great Expectations (the most boring book ever written) to our class to explain what it meant, when she stopped speaking, and you could heare every single person in our cafeteria scream "WHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
Someone started a food fight! It was awesome...I walked through the cafeteria after it was all done and gone, but the floor was really sticky and you could see food scattered in different places...I couldn't stop laughing! (senior pranks are great :))
We actually wound up having a second, much smaller, food fight during MY lunch period...I wasn't involved tho...
Our principal got hit with Jello :D
The only bad part about this whole thing is that about 30 seniors (half of which didn't even participate; they only got in trouble because they had a bad reputation and were SUSPECTED of being involved) are not allowed to walk at their graduation.
My friend Beverley was accused of being involved (she wasn't), and everyone at my lunch period that was accused had to go into a large room where they just sat for about 10 minutes before being given suspensions. Bev's friend Zach (who also did nothing) got bored, and started singing "if you're happy and you know it, clap your hands", and got quite a few people to clap their hands before one of the administrators yelled at them to shut up. Once that happened, Zach said "you herded us into here like a bunch of cattle for something we didn't even do-I'm just trying to make people happy!", and the administrator once again told him to shut up...then Bev got involved :)
She started singing "if the school is gay clap your hands", and the administrator told her to shut up, and she yelled "FUCK YOU!", and so a couple of people around her started singing and clapping their hands, too....Bev thinks she has about 7 referrels (for those of you who don't know-referrels are a bad thing...I know a lot of people from other schools who have never heard of a referrel, so yeah).
She doesn't really care all that much, though...we only have a week and a half left of school! (w00t!)
SO, yesterday was pretty interesting! ^^

'!!!' (Continued 2)
05.12.04 (12:39 pm)   [edit]
Okay. New news concerning this whole thing I'm going through right now.

The girl Laci didn't say anything bad about me! I found this out after asking her and the guy, and they both said that she said the same thing.
What happened was that I was in my first class, and I asked Laci what she had said, but she said that she would tell me at lunch (which made me even more suspicious of her!)...so I got to lunch, and she said that she had been talking to the guy I like about the guy SHE likes, whose name is Devon. This explains why she didn't want to tell me that during my first class, because Devon was sitting right next to her...Laci even told me that, if anything, she was on my side and said that the guy and I would make a cute couple.
So that was all cleared up.
Then the guy I like showed up, and he and Heather went outside again, and when they came back inside, Heather was beaming, lol.
The guy I like (who, by the way, is very romantic, and the kind of guy that, instead of saying "hi" to his female friends, hugs them instead) kept kissing me on the top of my head, and then he kissed me on my hand, and he went away, so Heather and I went outside to talk about what she had said to him.
She had told him to ask me out, and then she asked him if he would ask me out, and he said "maybe", but he also told her that it wasn't the right time to do that.
So yeah, today I'm happy :D
Then, after lunch, I was walking through the hallway by myself to get to my classroom, and I saw him again, and he looked at me and winked! Nobody has ever in my entire life winked at me, haha.
So my day is going great so far, even if he didn't ask me out (...yet! :))

'!!!' (Continued)
05.11.04 (12:45 pm)   [edit]
Holy fucking hell.
Okay, if you've read my entry titled "!!!", then you'll know what I'm talking about...if you haven't read it yet, please do so now if you wish to understand....

Went to lunch today...saw the guy.
He and I are friends and everything, so I gave him my yearbook and asked him to sign it. He took it with him, and went to talk to one of his friends.
Then I saw Heather.
She saw me, and I pointed at him, just to show that he was there....she took that little signal of mine the wrong way, and went with him outside to tell him to ask me out...
I didn't want that to happen at that time because he had my yearbook, and I didn't know what he might write in it if he didn't want to ask me out or something...plus, in that situation, it might have been a little awkward for him to be giving my yearbook back to me and all...
So, I just sat at the table I was at, repeating the word "Shit" over and over again...my friend Kayla asked me what was wrong, and I told her the story...when I told her the story, a girl named Laci was listening, and she went outside to see Heather and the guy...about five minutes later, Laci came in with a smirk on her face, and said something very close to "don't get your hopes up".
Then Heather and the guy came back in.
This next part is kind of hard to describe in words, so after you read it, just close your eyes and imagine
He came up behind me (I was sitting; he was standing), gave me back my yearbook, and kind of rubbed his cheek against mine while he gave me a hug. He said something to me, and unfortunately I can't remember what it was...all I remember was that whatever he said had the word "end" in it....and I know that it wasn't something bad...I didn't understand what he meant by it.....but I just can't remember what he said....and then he left...with Laci...
Not exactly WITH Laci, like they weren't going out or anything, but he just left with her....he had to leave because he was actually skipping his class (only for about 10 minutes) because he was supposed to turn in an attendance sheet to the front office.

NOW, here's what Heather told me:

She and the guy were outside, she told him to ask me out, he said that he actually does like me (and he said that he kind of likes her too, but she's got a boyfriend), and then Laci came out.
She kept saying "don't answer that question!!" over and over again, she came up and whispered something in his ear, and then they all came back in...whatever she said is the reason why he didn't ask me out.

Needless to say, I completely despise Laci. She, like the guy, is a sophomore, but I could care less...I'm just being descriptive...
She's in my first class of the day, so I'm going to talk to her tomorrow....and my friend Meegan is going to ask HIM what she said...we shall see.

I would cry, but, as all of my friends and family know, I hardly ever cry for anything....but I feel so bad that I could....maybe later when I'm not in school and it won't draw attention.

***UPDATE***

By the way, here's what he wrote in my yearbook (word for word; symbol for symbol-haha; except for his name...I'm gonna keep that a secret to all you tbloggers)...and keep in mind that he wrote this AFTER he talked to Heather!:

Hey Beautiful,
I hope to see you as much as possible next year. Have a great summer, cutie.
♥ Always and Eternally!
----- -

(the dashes are where his name would be)

So yeah...not quite sure what he meant by that....damn! The suspense is killing me!!!!
But I'm in a better mood than I was when I wrote the first part of this blog (a few hours ago)...

!!!
05.07.04 (12:54 pm)   [edit]
OOO!!!!
Lunch today was the best ever!

I got to dance with the most gorgeous and romantic guy ever!
During lunch, my friends and I (me and about 3 friends) got to dance with a sophmore guy I met a few days ago...he's completely gorgeous, and extremely romantic!
After my friend Heather danced with him, he asked me to dance with him (we were doing this right outside of our cafeteria...by the way, we were all slow dancing), and I kept saying that I couldn't dance, and I didn't really want to because of that, but my friends made me (which I'm really thankful for!!).
SO, we went outside (when he danced with one of us, everyone else stayed inside, and some of them watched), and I had told him before that I didn't know how to dance, but he just told me how to, and we started to dance, and then he started singing a song, and he has the most BEAUTIFUL voice!!
So it was really great, and then, while I was still outside, my friend Angel came outside and said "I didn't know you knew my brother"....
I never knew they were even related...so I got to know a lot more about her...
The entire time we were dancing, my friend Heather said my face was bright red, and when I asked her how red it was, she pointed at the flower in my hair (she had given me a rose earlier in the morning) and said that it was as red as the flower!

Then, later on, Heather and I were swing dancing (the only kind of dancing I'm actually good at), and we came back inside and saw the guy again, and I told him that we had been swing dancing, and so we went outside again (just me, Heather, and the guy) and he swing danced with Heather, which was really cool.
He had watched us swing dance, and said that a lot of the things we were doing were in a swing dance routine he did last year at the Art Fest, and that's what he did with Heather.
After he danced with Heather, he did the same routine with me, but he and I did the thing Heather wouldn't, and was too chicken to do-he swung me around him (yeah, swing dancing-very cool!)

So I had a great time!
I'll add more later, because I'm in class at the moment-which is about to end!!!

***Okay, here's what I have to add***

After 9th period (the class I wrote all of the above in), I went to my gym class (10th period), and Heather said that she thinks the guy likes me! Then she said that on Monday she is going to tell him to ask me out!
I know that she likes him too (but she's got a boyfriend), so I kept saying that she didn't have to, but she kept on insisting, so finally I gave in...and for the rest of the day I kept saying "I love you!" (she and I always joke around like that-we're best friends) and she kept saying "I know!!! you told me about 50 times!!" so yeah, that was fun....I don't know if the guy's gonna ask me out, but that'd be cool!
I'll keep ya updated

I Feel Pretty; Oh So Pretty...But I Don't Want To!!!
05.03.04 (12:47 pm)   [edit]
Okay. Let me explain. I have a friend named Vanessa who is a cheerleader. She has been trying to make me look "preppy" for awhile now, and today, so far, it's been crazy.

Currently, I'm in my 9th period class (I'm on the late schedule-my first class is 4th period and my last is 10th) and I look waaaaay too pretty.
Last period, Vanessa decided, in the last 10 minutes of class, to give me a "makeover".

First, she put powder on my face, then blush. Then she took my hair out of the ponytail I had it in, took my brown scrunchie, made me lick it, and rubbed off my eyeliner <.>Then she put on mascara and lip gloss, played with my hair a bit, and then the bell rang.
I tried to take my scrunchie back, and she put it in her purse and took it with her!!

So now, I look way to pretty, and I get to see her again in my next class...I hope I can get my scrunchie back!

And then, oh God, she said she's going to bring her straightener tomorrow

The upside to this: all my friends say I look good.
The downside: all my friends tell me I should wear this much makeup more often.

HA!

102 Facts About Me
05.02.04 (10:00 pm)   [edit]
So. Here's the dillio. JennsAbsent has made a blog with 100 facts, ScubaDiva has mad a blog with 101 facts, and so I have decided to make a blog with 102 facts about me!
Now all someone has to do is make a blog with 103 facts about themselves and continue the chain by telling someone else to do 104 facts who will tell someone else to do 105 facts, and so on! lol

So, here they are:

102 Facts About Me

1. I love Gumby (it's a clay-animated tv show that first came on the air in the 50's, and I'm pretty sure it was on in the late 80's and early 90's, because all of my friends my age have heard of it).
2. I own two guitars (one electric, one acoustic).
3. I've been getting guitar lessons since my birthday last year (March 27, 2003).
4. I have a scar on my right ring finger from where my neighbor's dog bit me.
5. I tried to poison that same dog with a bowl full of toothpaste, grass, dirt, and other ingredients I can't remember.
6. The dog didn't eat my "poison", but one of the kids in that family (who is about 4 years younger than me) is still mad at me to this day...and that happened about 7 years ago.
7. My favorite local band is Suburban Tragedy.
8. I have never seen Suburban Tragedy live, but I have talked to 3 out of 4 of the band members.
9. When I was young, my dad used to tell me stories of when he was a little kid.
10. I've heard all of those stories so many times (they get better every time) that I know that one of my dad's best friends' names was Jimmy Hibbits.
11. The first concert I ever went to (I regret to say) was a Britney Spears concert.
12. After discovering for myself that she lip syncs to all of her songs, I never liked her again.
13. The only person I have ever punched in the face was my brother when I was 10 years old, and it didn't even hurt him.
14. He stole my basketball.
15. I was born March 27, 1989.
16. I was born in Tampa, FL in a birthing center at 6:46 am.
17. Both of my parents are from Connecticut, and I would much rather live there.
18. My hair has had the following colors in it: brown (naturally), blonde, blue, grey (the blue faded out), and red.
19. At Unity Day, upon being asked what cartoon character I would most want to be, I said Daria.
20. I have never been dumped.
21. The shortest relationship I ever had lasted less than 20 hours.
22. I believe Nicholas Cage to be the ugliest man alive.
23. I once went to a concert that consisted of only rockabilly bands...and I liked it.
24. I think a black fedora is the sexiest item of clothing a guy could wear.
25. For getting Honor Roll the first 3 quarters of the school year, I got a giant "L" patch.
26. I ran around school with the "L" patch on my forehead screaming "IT'S OFFICIAL!!" to all of my friends.
27. I believe that Courtney killed Kurt...and if she didn't do it, then he killed himself because of her.
28. I have met Sean and Ryan of Smile Empty Soul, Doug of Hoobastank, Chris, Roger, and Buddy of Less Than Jake, Brian of Something Corporate, Longineu of Yellowcard, Kris of the Ataris (who, by the way, is an asshole), Jade of AFI (who, by the way, is also an asshole), and Benji and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte.
29. The first song I ever learned on my guitar was Creed's One Last Breath (which is not that easy).
30. The strangest song I've ever heard was "Dad I'm In Jail" by 'Was (Not Was)'.
31. I had braces when I was 8 or 9, then I had to get them again (I have them now) because my orthodontist is retarded (he pulled out two of my teeth before putting in my braces the first time, which screwed my mouth up horribly).
32. My life practically revolves around music.
33. Usually, if a guy I date doesn't like at least some of the bands I like, I'll dump him (or I won't go out with him in the first place)...but that rarely ever happens.
34. I get panic attacks every once in awhile, and when I was younger (first and second grade) I would get them daily.
35. My first grade teacher told my parents that I should see a psychiatrist (because I was getting panic attacks every day, I thought I was sick every day, and would ask to go to the clinic EVERY DAY).
36. My first grade teacher was a bitch.
37. In second grade, I got straight A's the entire year.
38. I haven't gotten a year of straight A's since then.
39. My favorite color is orange (and, surprisingly, hardly anyone's favorite color is orange).
40. My best friend since second grade and I moved away from each other in 5th grade, and we saw each other once in sixth grade, when we were still preppy, then didn't see each other again until 9th grade.
41. When we last saw each other (April 3, 2004), we were dressed the same way (both in black with lots of metal necklaces and bracelets). We're still exactly the same, and it's kind of scary. ^^
42. One of my best friends (the one mentioned above) used to tell stories about her stealing one of the electric wheelchair grocery store carts and her running over an old man in the grocery store who would call her a "Rotten Pineapple" as she drove away.
43. A few of my friends and I believed her for a year or two.
44. She used to tell this story to me, my little brother, and three or four of our friends every day during recess while sitting on the jungle gym that nobody ever played on (because it was the "little kid's" jungle gym).
45. My first grade teacher used to tell my parents that I was a bad student, and that they should consider holding me back.
46. I am currently in 3 honors classes, make A's and B's, and have been 1 year ahead of my age group's math level since I was in the second grade.
47. The song that I believe best describes my life (or at least my relationship with my mom) is "One Step Closer" by Linkin Park.
48. I moved out of my old neighborhood when I was 10 years old, and I visit my friends there often.
49. My mom missed my fifth birthday party, and, being the great mom she is, she doesn't remember missing it. I remember crying all day and not having any fun because she wasn't there...our relationship hasn't been the same ever since.
50. I have a friend in Germany who I talk to online frequently who has the exact same birthday as me (month, date, and year).
51. When german exchange students came to my school a few weeks ago, the first one I asked said he knew my friend in Germany.
52. I was in Girl Scouts for more years than I can remember (I was a "Brownie"), and quit after my first year of being a "Junior".
53. I once drew a picture that one first place in my middle school's "Reflections" contest...I won a $15 gift card to Borders and got my name announced on the school news about 5 times...I liked having my name announced better than the gift card.
54. I own a red leather trenchcoat-looking jacket (It goes a little below my waist) that was my mom's when she was 16.
55. My room is small as fuck (12½ feet by 7½ feet).
56. My room had to be built into the garage because my house only has two bedrooms and my stepdad is a selfish asshole and wouldn't build my room any bigger.
57. My middle name is Ernestine, and I hate it. Nobody's ever heard of my middle name.
58. I've only seen one person who had the same first name as me spelled the same way as mine (Renae)...I like my first name.
59. I played guitar at my mom's wedding reception (9/27/03) in a black dress and black converse.
60. That same day, during the reception before I played, I had about five people take pictures of my shoes because they were amazed I was wearing converse with a dress.
61. I had a dog named Chopper who ran away when I was 8.
62. My parents got divorced when I was 8.
63. 1997 was a bad year for me.
64. My brother and I are exactly 14 months apart, and we were both born in months that begin with "Ma" (I was born March 27, he was born May 27).
65. My all-time favorite movie is "Drop Dead Fred" which I first watched when I was five. It's rated PG-13 and my aunt, who was babysitting me at the time, let me and my four-year-old brother watch it...here's one of the quotes from the movie:
(the mother just finished reading her daughter-who was about 5 years old-a fairy tale)
Daughter: Did they live happily ever after?
Mother: Of Course Elizabeth.
Daughter: How do you know?
Mother: Because, she was a good little girl, if she would have been naughty, the Prince would have run away.
Daughter: What a pile of shit.
66. My second favorite movie is "the Labyrinth".
67. A TV show I will never miss is Joan of Arcadia...it's the best show in the world‼
68. Another TV show I'll never miss is Charmed.
69. Once, when I was in a store with my dad, I was wearing a shirt that had the name of a band I like called Old Number Eight (the shirt read "Old No. Eight"), and a lady my dad knows came up, read my shirt, and said "oh! Old No Eight! I know that band!" (the humor here is that she said "no" instead of "number"...it was very hard to keep from bursting into laughter).
70. From the time I was about 9, I have been a collect-o-maniac, and have gone through phases of collecting differnt objects (such as coins, stamps, pretty-colored rocks, barbie dolls, spice girls merchandise, posters, and much more...recently, I have collected-and grown out of collecting-aol cds and soda can pop-tops).
71. I now collect CDs and photographs that I take.
72. All of the 500 soda can pop-tops that I collected I gave to a charity thing my school is running where, for every 100 pop-tops they get, a child with cancer gets 1 hour of chemotherapy...I figured that was a good way to break out of that phase.
73. My favorite comic book is Johnny the Homicidal Maniac.
74. My favorite animator/artist is Jhonen Vasquez (creator of JTHM and Invader Zim).
75. When I was about 9 years old, I went around the neighborhood trying to get my neigbors to sign a piece of paper that I said was "a petition to get a patent" for a toy that I had invented out of a red wagon with a boogie board sitting on top of it.
76. Nobody signed my "petition".
77. In eighth grade, I was a part of my school's FFEA (Florida Future Educators of America) beacause we got to skip the last two periods of the day to go to meetings and elementary schools to read to little kids...I was the official "videographer", and I made all of the commercials advertising our club on our school's tv system.
78. One of the FFEA commercials I made was about one of our school dances we were putting together, which was to be advertised as "casual dress" in the commercial...so I used "Come As You Are" by Nirvana as the background music...
79. Another commercial that I had to make for my marketing class (which was shown over the school's tv system and advertised a Festival the school was going to have) featured my friend and I swing dancing, during which my friend flipped over my back.
80. I am proud to say that I can drive a standard.
81. The bus stop to get to my school is a mile away from my house, and my parents aren't home by the time I leave to get there, so, when I get old and have children, I can honestly tell them that "I had to walk a mile to get to school".
82. I have only seen snow once, when I was five...and I miss it every day.
83. I was never able to decide who was uglier: Carrot Top or Michael Jackson (it's much harder if you look at their pictures next to each other).
84. I currently have tickets to a concert in an ampitheatre that has not yet been built.
85. A boy in the sixth grade that I had a huge crush on once humiliated me in front of my entire class by asking me to a school dance in front of about 10 of his friends, and, once I accepted, he yelled "YEAH, RIGHT!" and made everyone laugh.
86. The boy's name is Matt, and he is now one of my good friends, lol.
87. My favorite local band (Suburban Tragedy, if you've already forgotten) performs the theme song for my favorite radio station's morning show.
88. My favorite gemstone is an opal because it can't seem to make up it's mind on what color it is. :)
89. My favorite book is "Ella Enchanted".
90. I love any story that is a twist on the Cinderella story, or tells what happened after Cinderella and the Prince got married ("Ever After" is one of my favorite movies, and "Just Ella" is another one of my favorite books).
91. The book I loathe the most is "Night" by Elie Wiesel (along with the other two books in the series-"Dawn" and "The Accident")...and I own all three (combined into one book).
92. I have about 4 or 5 journals, 2 blogs, and 1 online diary (some of the journal entries I have were written when I was 6, and I haven't written in the online diary, first blog, or journals in awhile...this blog is my main "journal" at the moment.
93. I can't stand Metallica, but I love the guitar solos...If I turn on the radio to Metallica during a solo, I'll listen until the solo is over, and then change the station.
94. I have a "Puffalump Kids" doll nicknamed "Joo Joo" (meaning "good luck") that I've owned since I was about 2 years old.
95. The largest scar on my body has the whimpiest story of all my scars...I got it because I had pre-skin cancer on my leg that had to be cut out.
96. One of my favorite bands is the Smashing Pumpkins, but I can't stand Billy Corgan and I think he is completely obsessed with himself (most of his lyrics are about himself).
97. I once went to an all-day outdoor concert in December. It was so cold that day that I wore two pairs of socks, two pairs of pants, two shirts, a sweater, and an army jacket.
98. At that very same concert, I saw one of my good friends I hadn't seen since 3rd grade (the concert was last year...2003), and we both recognized each other (we talked for a minute or two, then began saying things like "you look really familiar").
99. One of the best albums I own is Suburban Tragedy's "Stereotyped Life"...you may be able to find it at your local FYE or Best Buy store...if you live in the United States.
100. On my walls in my room, I have (hanging): 4 posters, 4 postcards, 2 liscense plates, 32 cutouts from magazines, 2 pictures I printed off my computer, 3 pictures, 1 calander, 1 sticker, 1 thermometer, 1 sticky notepad, 2 beaded lizards, 1 wind chime, 1 business card, 1 school project poster, 3 pieces of paper (with something drawn on each one), 1 giant "L" patch (one of the pieces of paper says "oser" on it...it is pinned up after the "L" patch), and 1 sheet of 66 uncut vintage Wacky Packs stickers.
101. I have never done drugs, drank alcohol (with the exception of a glass or two of champagne at new year's eve once a year from the time I was 8 until the time I was 13), or poisoned my body in any way.
102. Since I am Straight Edge, I wear black X's on each of my hands every weekday (my hands take a break on teh weekends).

I find this "facts" thing to be very entertaining, and I hope you do, too!

Dedicated to one of my favorite songs...and to my boredom.

(I hope these show up)

I drew this picture yesterday out of boredom:

Here are some close-ups:

Hooray!! Pretty!!
Yup. That was fun.

Tell me what you think of em...if you feel like it!

Don't wanna hear a spokesman
05.02.04 (11:05 am)   [edit]
"Spokesman" by Goldfinger is the best song ever written...or at least I think so....I have it stuck on repeat on my minidisk player at the moment :D

Here's the lyrics if you've never heard it:

What happened to dignity
Did it go away again?
Just like some worn out trend?
Will I still defend emotions?
What happened to honesty?
I don't see it on the Top Ten
I only see it in what has been
Cuz I still defend devotion

Am I alone?

Don't wanna rest
I don't wanna breathe
When I wanna hear about life
Don't wanna hear a spokesman
I don't wanna test
I want to believe
The god damn singer wrote the song
Don't wanna hear a spokesman

What happened to integrity
I don't see it on MTV
All I see is choreography
And I'll never be a dancer
What happened to puberty?
Bad skin and insecurity?
And who the fuck is Felicity?
Cuz I got problems of my own

Am I alone?

Don't wanna rest
I don't wanna breathe
When I wanna hear about life
Don't wanna hear a spokesman
I don't wanna test
I want to believe
The god damn singer wrote the song
Don't wanna hear a spokesman

Don't wanna rest
I don't wanna breathe
When I wanna hear about life
Don't wanna hear a spokesman
I don't wanna test
I want to believe
The god damn singer wrote the song
Don't wanna hear a spokesman

Don't wanna rest
And don't wanna breathe
When I wanna hear about life
Don't wanna hear a spokesman
I don't wanna test
I want to believe
The god damn singer wrote the song
Don't wanna hear a spokesman

I Don't wanna rest
And don't wanna breathe
When I wanna hear about life
Don't wanna hear a spokesman

"Sometimes I park in handicapped spaces While handicapped people make handicapped faces"

"I'm gonna open up my own place. Open my own restaurant and get away from you people. I'm gonna open up a restaurant with two smoking sections; Ultra and Regular, ok? And we're not gonna have any tables or any chairs or any napkins. None of that pussy shit. Just a big wide open black space. And all we're gonna serve is raw meat, right on the bone! And only men are going to eat there, naked men, sitting around a big giant camp fire, and no men's room either. You have to piss, you mark your territory like a wolf! And if some guy has a heart attack from eating too much meat, fuck him, we throw him in the fire! More meat for the other meat-eaters! Yeah!"

FUCK!!!
